Düsseldorf's Biggest Latin Dance Weekend

The Euro Sensual Festival Düsseldorf is one of the most important Latin dance festivals in the Rhineland. The 2026 edition runs from October 2nd to 4th at Tanzhaus NRW (Erkrather Straße 30) in Düsseldorf-Oberbilk — one of Germany's most renowned dance venues. The organizer is Euphoria Events, an event agency specializing in Latin dance.

Three Dance Styles in Focus

The festival covers the three central styles of the Latin American dance scene:

• Bachata — from the Dominican Republic. Romantic, sensual, in classic and modern sensual styles.
• Salsa — the classic with Cuban, Colombian, and linear variants (LA-Style, NY-Style, On1, On2).
• Kizomba — from Angola. Close, sensual, slow-paced — the "African Tango".

Within these styles, there are numerous workshops for different levels — from absolute beginners to advanced dancers.

Over 100 Workshops in Three Days

The festival offers over 100 workshops during the day — led by international professional dancers from Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, the Dominican Republic, Angola, and Germany. The workshops are structured by style, level, and special topic (Footwork, Bodywaves, Lady Styling, Men Styling, Partnerwork). Each participant can create their own schedule from the vast program offering.

Galas with International DJs

The evening galas are the social heart of the festival. International DJs will be playing in two rooms simultaneously — the larger one for Bachata/Salsa, the smaller one mostly for Kizomba. Several live performances by international show dance couples and bands frame the dance nights. Galas run Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from late evening until deep into the night.

Innovative Taxi Dancer Concept

A special feature is the taxi dancer concept: trained professionals are available during the galas to invite solo attendees to dance. This addresses one of the biggest problems of classic dance festivals — solo dancers feeling isolated because they lack dance partners. The concept has made the festival particularly well-known in the scene.

Tanzhaus NRW — The Ideal Location

Tanzhaus NRW is one of the most significant centers for contemporary dance in Germany — with a large hall, several studios, and a perfect dance floor. Its location in Düsseldorf-Oberbilk (directly near the main train station) makes the festival easily accessible, even for international guests.

Düsseldorf has a particularly active Latin dance scene: numerous dance schools offering Bachata, Salsa, and Kizomba classes, several weekly socials, and international connections to the Rhineland and the Ruhr area. The Euro Sensual Festival is the annual highlight of this scene, attracting dancers from Germany, the Benelux countries, France, and beyond.
