Euro Moto at Sachsenring
Premiere at Sachsenring — new successor series to the IDM
2026
About Euro Moto Sachsenring
Euro Moto Sachsenring — edition 2026
The premiere is a milestone for German motorcycle racing — Euro Moto is taking over as the new international series, succeeding the IDM, which has been established for decades. The Sachsenring was deliberately chosen as the opening track due to its high international reputation.
With free admission for children under 15 and mothers on Mother's Day, organizer ADAC Sachsen e.V. is sending a clear family-oriented message — deliberately countering the image of motorsport as an expensive men's event.

The Sachsenring — Motorsport Myth
The Sachsenring near Hohenstein-Ernstthal (administratively Oberlungwitz) in the Zwickau district is one of Germany's most traditional race tracks. MotoGP World Championship races are held here annually, and the track is considered technically demanding and spectator-friendly. With Euro Moto, a new international racing format will debut in 2026, succeeding the traditional IDM.
Classes and Rider Field
Euro Moto comprises five classes: Euro Moto Superbike (large four-cylinder machines), Supersport (mid-weight bikes), Sportbike (smaller machines), the ADAC Junior Cup, and Moto4 for young talent. Over 180 riders from more than 15 nations are registered — including established names like Markus Reiterberger, Lukas Tulovic, Marcel Schrötter, and Florian Alt, who hold a firm place in the top ranks of German motorsport.
Premiere on Mother's Day
In 2026, the premiere falls on the weekend before and on Mother's Day — ADAC Sachsen is using this for a clear family signal: On Sunday (May 10th, Mother's Day), all mothers receive free admission. In general: Children and young people under 15 have free admission on all three days — an important gesture to make motorsport accessible to families.
Open Paddock and MDR Broadcast
A special feature of Euro Moto is the open paddock: Spectators can enter the pit lane and paddock area to view the bikes up close — including autograph opportunities. MDR Sport im Osten will broadcast the most important races live, ensuring the format has a television presence. The organizer is ADAC Sachsen e.V., which has years of experience in managing major events at the Sachsenring.
