Overview
In 2025, a round of the IDM (Internationale Deutsche Motorradmeisterschaft) still took place at the Sachsenring — the traditional series that Euro Moto will succeed in 2026. Over 150 riders in several classes shaped the weekend and provided the impetus for the conception of the new series.
The IDM at Sachsenring in 2025 was one of the last highlights of the traditional series, which had been a firm fixture of German motorsport for decades. The transition to Euro Moto was announced in 2025 and completed in the run-up to the 2026 season.
For the Sachsenring, the transition means no break: the first Euro Moto weekend will take place as early as 2026. Most of the riders who competed in the IDM in 2025 will also be represented in the new series.
