Cross-Border Classical Festival

For almost three decades, the Euregio Musikfestival has connected concert venues in the German-Dutch border regions. In 2026, the festival enters its 29th edition and opens with a high-caliber concert at the OsnabrückHalle.

April 9, 2026: Bundesjugendorchester and Bundesjazzorchester

The opening concert is a programmatic highlight: Two national top ensembles of young musicians, the Bundesjugendorchester and the Bundesjazzorchester, will be on stage together. The program merges classical repertoire with jazz arrangements — a daring format, rarely seen in this constellation.

Bundesjugendorchester

The BJO is Germany's most renowned youth symphony orchestra, a breeding ground for German musical talent. Admission is only through strict selection processes, with performances in European concert halls.

Bundesjazzorchester

The BuJazzO is its jazz-oriented counterpart: the national big band for aspiring jazz musicians, which also tours internationally and features high-caliber guest soloists.

OsnabrückHalle as a Venue

The OsnabrückHalle on Schlosswall is Osnabrück's central concert and congress hall with excellent acoustics. It is equally suitable for symphony concerts and jazz concerts and regularly hosts the Symphony Orchestra and external guest concerts.

Ticket prices range from approximately 15 Euros for discounted seats to 40 Euros for the best categories. Sales via Eventim and the OsnabrückHalle. Discounts for students and young people.

Festival Context

In the spring of 2026, the Euregio Musikfestival will be held at other concert venues in the German-Dutch border region. Osnabrück traditionally serves as the German opening or closing point of a festival tour that focuses on classical music, crossover, and cultural exchange.
