Open-air weekend in the Limespark with Mountain Crew, The SWEET and Dave Hill's SLADE
The Erlenseer Kulturnächte is the open-air festival of the city of Erlensee in the Main-Kinzig district. The venue is the Limespark on Konrad-Adenauer-Straße – an easily accessible park that becomes a stage for two concert nights every summer. The 2026 edition creates an interesting contrast: On Friday, the park becomes a 'Sommerwiesn' (summer meadow festival) with Alpine atmosphere, while on Saturday, the Glam Rock heroes of the 1970s will take the stage.
The Erlenseer Sommerwiesn kicks things off: The headliner is Mountain Crew – The Boyband from the Alps, combining Alpine 'Lederhosen' Schlager music and party tunes. The opening act is the Kerscher-Musikanten. Tickets from €38 in advance, €42.39 online, €40 at the box office.
Saturday will be louder and more dazzling: The SWEET and Dave Hill's SLADE will play a joint concert. In the 1970s, The SWEET and Slade were among the defining Glam Rock bands of Great Britain – hits like 'Fox on the Run', 'Ballroom Blitz', 'Cum on Feel the Noize', and 'Merry Xmas Everybody' have shaped generations. Both bands continue to exist in successor formations, and Dave Hill (guitarist and co-founder of Slade since 1966) performs under the official name Dave Hill's SLADE. Tickets from €58 in advance, €63.09 online, €60 at the box office.
The Limespark is located in the Erlensee district of Rückingen, in close proximity to the route of the historical Roman Limes, which ran here. The UNESCO World Heritage line is marked for a few hundred meters – an interesting walk before the concerts.
The Sommerwiesn and the Glam Rock double bill are part of the broader Erlenseer Kulturnächte 2026, which brings music, literature, and live events to Erlensee throughout the year. The city sees the program as part of its cultural identity: First City Councilor Birgit Behr and Event Manager Matthias Hammer plan several program blocks spread throughout the year.
