Spring funfair in the heart of Erlangen

The Erlangen Spring Festival is the traditional spring opener in the event calendar of the university city of Erlangen in Middle Franconia, Bavaria. It takes place on the centrally located Schlossplatz and attracts visitors with funfair attractions during the first warm days of the year.

Rides and fairground attractions

On over 2,000 square meters, visitors can expect classic fairground attractions: a swing boat, a children's carousel, and other rides and games. The festival is therefore particularly aimed at families with children.

Program for children

On Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., there is a special children's program with Kasperl theater and a magic show. Face painting completes the family offer.

Enjoyment and conviviality

Numerous stalls offer sweet and savory specialties, and a beer garden with musical entertainment invites visitors to linger. The Schlossplatz with its baroque palace garden forms an attractive backdrop for a spring stroll.

Sunday shopping

A firm component is the Sunday shopping: on one Sunday afternoon, Erlangen's city center opens its shops from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., combining festival fun with a shopping trip through the city.
