Bitburger Stadtlauf (32nd Edition)

The Bitburger Stadtlauf will take place in its 32nd edition in 2026 and is one of the most traditional running events in the Southern Eifel. The organizer is Eifelläufer – Laufgemeinschaft im Eifelmarathon e.V., the same association that also organizes the Eifel Marathon in Waxweiler.

Route Offerings

The Stadtlauf offers a tiered distance selection that appeals to all target groups, from hobby runners to ambitious competitors:

• 10 km Main Run: Fast and attractive city route for competitors.
• 5 km Fun Run: For hobby runners, beginners, and all who prefer shorter distances.
• 1 km Kindergarten Run: For kindergarten-aged children, who should experience their first running contact.

Start and Finish: Kölner Straße 14

The start and finish area are located at Kölner Straße 14 in Bitburg's city center. The routes lead through the city center and adjacent districts, offering runners an atmospheric environment with plenty of spectator support along the course.

Bitburger Beer Since 1995

A special tradition has been part of the Stadtlauf since 1995: every finisher receives a Bitburger Pils at the finish line. This small gesture is a hallmark and an expression of the close connection between the city, the brewery, and the running event. It has made the Bitburger Stadtlauf known far beyond the region.

The Eifelläufer – Laufgemeinschaft im Eifelmarathon e.V. are a well-known entity in the Eifel running scene. With the Stadtlauf in Bitburg, the Eifel Marathon in Waxweiler, and smaller events, they shape the year-round running offerings in the region.
