125 Years of the Buchholz Marksmen's Association

Founded in 1901, the Buchholz and Surroundings Marksmen's Association e.V. looks back on 125 years of club history in 2026. For over five generations, the association has shaped marksmanship in Buchholz in der Nordheide, and the anniversary festival offers the ideal opportunity to celebrate this long tradition in fitting style.

Four Festival Days from July 10th to 13th, 2026

The anniversary festival extends from Friday to Monday, combining the 2026 Schützenfest with the 125th club anniversary into a four-day highlight. Joint organization with the Brackel Marksmen's Association enhances the festive character and brings two neighboring associations together on the same festival days.

Anniversary Ceremony and Honors

For the 125th anniversary, special honors for deserving members, an official ceremony with representatives from politics and marksmen's associations, and an anniversary exhibition on the club's history are planned. Club albums, historical flags, and uniforms will be displayed – a tangible piece of Buchholz's local history.

King's Shooting, Zapfenstreich, and Festive Parade

The classic marksmen's program remains the core of the festival: King's shooting on Friday, the Grand Zapfenstreich on Saturday evening with a torchlight procession, a festive parade through Buchholz on Sunday with marksmen and music corps, and guest associations. This will be followed by the King's Ball in the marquee with a live band and dancing late into the night.

Family Day and Festival Conclusion

Sunday also features the Family Day with a children's king's shooting, carousels, a bouncy castle, and games for the youngest guests. Monday concludes the festival with a Frühschoppen, brass music, the proclamation of the new king, and a relaxed festival finale.
