Since 2001, the Erfurt Singer-Songwriter Festival has positioned itself as a platform for German-language singer-songwriter music — handmade, without playback, focusing on lyrics, voice, and guitar. The Winter Edition 2026 bears the charming title «The first best festival of the year» — as the first festival of the event year in Thuringia. It takes place on January 9 and 10, 2026, in Erfurt's Museumskeller and Haus Dacheröden (HsD).

Newcomer Evening on Friday — Museumskeller

Friday (January 9, 2026) is designed as the Newcomer Stage. Eight singer-songwriters and bands from German-speaking countries get their stage: Simon Hotz (Switzerland), Aljosha Konter (Stuttgart), Matthias Binner (Berlin), Erik Stenzel (Nuremberg), Lagerfeuerotz (Bad Gandersheim/Beetzendorf), Frau Lehmann (Leipzig), Simone Stahl (Stuttgart), and Karin Rabhansel (Passau). The venue is the Museumskeller with its intimate concert atmosphere.

Main Evening on Saturday — Haus Dacheröden

Saturday (January 10, 2026) is the Main Stage at Haus Dacheröden. Four established singer-songwriters and bands will perform: Reis against the Spülmachine (Buxtehude/Oldenburg, one of the most charming punk-folk bands in the German-language singer-songwriter scene), Elena Seeger (Stuttgart), Sven Garrecht (Seligenstadt), and Reni (Frankfurt am Main).

Erfurt — Capital of Thuringia and Festival Location

Erfurt is the capital of the state of Thuringia and has been the location of the Singer-Songwriter Festival for over 20 years. The non-profit association that organizes the festival relies on volunteer work and sponsorship. A summer edition (June 27, 2026, Barfüßerruine, with Max Prosa, Christin Henkel, Kalter Kaffee, and Johanna Philipp) complements the annual program.
