Inclusive music festival of the Saarlouis district in the historic Lokschuppen Dillingen
EINklang is the inclusive music festival of the Saarlouis district – a region that takes inclusion programmatically seriously. Since 2018, the district has been bringing young musicians with and without disabilities onto a shared stage. The festival has become the cultural flagship of the district and is considered a pioneering inclusion project in Saarland and beyond.
The venue is the Lokschuppen Dillingen – a former railway repair hall, now one of the largest event venues in western Saarland. With space for up to 2,000 people, it offers a fitting setting for a festival that prioritizes generosity and encounter.
At EINklang Vol. 6 (2026), 13 acts with around 150 musicians will perform. In addition to groups from Saarland, guests will come from Bochnia, Poland (partner district of Saarlouis) and from neighboring Metz, Lorraine. This makes EINklang not only inclusive but also cross-border European – a characteristic of Saarland.
A special feature is the inclusive EINklang live band, which plays between the guest acts and unites musicians with and without disabilities. The moderation is handled by an inclusive duo. Screens next to the stage, sign language and text interpreters ensure maximum participation for all visitors.
The musical spectrum is deliberately broad: pop, rock, classical, folk songs, a cappella, big band jazz – the diversity underscores the idea of inclusion. Every style has its place, every voice deserves to be heard.
Dillingen/Saar is located in western Saarland and belongs to the Saarlouis district, whose inclusion initiative supports the EINklang Festival. The steel city with its Dillinger Hütte has an industrial tradition that meets a modern cultural mission here – a typical Saarland balancing act between past and future.
The organizer is the Saarlouis district. The hall and stage will be made barrier-free, and screens next to the stage, along with sign language and text interpreters, will ensure maximum participation. The detailed program will be published by the district in the summer of 2026.
