An Eifel Tradition with Heartbeat

The Eifeler Oldie Rock Nacht (often shortened to “Eifeler Oldienacht”) has been one of the most important cultural and social events in the Nordeifel for 26 years. On Saturday, June 27, 2026, the 26th edition will take place — in the huge warehouse of PapStar in Kall, one of the few locations in the rural Eifel that are acoustically and logistically suitable for a rock concert of this magnitude.

Benefit for Children with Cancer

The concert is driven by a clear mission: The Hilfsgruppe Eifel — Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder e.V., based in Mechernich-Lückerath. All proceeds from ticket sales, catering, and sponsorships go to the organization, which has been supporting families with children suffering from cancer in the region for years. Considerable sums have been raised over the 26 editions — the Oldienacht is the association's most important single event.

The 2026 program is deliberately tailored to the audience of the Eifel region: Kölsch rock, tribute bands, and local Eifel stars.

Logistics of an Open-Air Night in Indoor Format

The PapStar hall can accommodate several thousand people — making the Oldienacht one of the largest indoor events in the region. Admission 4 PM, concert start 5 PM. Three free shuttle buses will bring visitors from Euskirchen, Mechernich, Schleiden, and Blankenheim to Kall and back at 1 AM — a service that makes the concept viable in the rural Eifel.

Kall — Eifel Hub

Kall is located in the district of Euskirchen in the heart of the Nordeifel, about 50 kilometers south of Cologne. The municipality is easily accessible via the A1 motorway and the Eifel railway line (DB). PapStar — actually a significant German disposable product company — provides its hall for a good cause, an example of the regional solidarity that drives the success of the Oldienacht.
