Summery beer festival on the market square — August 8th and 9th, 2026
The Edewecht Beer Festival has become a firm fixture in the summer calendar for the community since its premiere. The organizer is Edewecht Touristik, which hosts the event as an open-air beer festival directly in the town center on the Edewecht Market Square. The 4th edition in 2026 builds on the successes of previous years.
The 2026 edition takes place on Saturday, August 8th, and Sunday, August 9th, 2026, starting at 5 PM each day. The evening times are deliberately chosen — when the summer heat subsides and the festival atmosphere can fully unfold.
Several regional and supra-regional breweries are expected, offering a mix of classics and special beer varieties — Pils, Wheat Beer, Helles, Craft Beer styles like IPA or Pale Ale. In addition, there will be hearty snacks (sausages, burgers, cheese stands), live music, and DJ sets in the evening. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly.
Edewecht is located in a region that is not traditionally considered a beer stronghold in Germany, but it certainly knows how to impress with its North German beer culture (Jever, Friesisches Brauhaus, small craft beer breweries). The beer festival serves as a stage for this diversity.
The complete list of breweries and music lineup will be communicated in advance on edewecht-touristik.de.
