Edelsteinserenade – Trombone Concert Niederwörresbach

The Edelstein-Serenade is a concert series that hosts artistically ambitious concerts throughout the year at various venues within the Herrstein-Rhaunen administrative district. The autumn slot in the series features a trombone concert in Niederwörresbach Church. The choice of venue is no coincidence: sacred spaces are particularly suitable for brass instruments due to their acoustics, allowing the sound to unfold in the reverberant space without losing the directness of the instruments.

Trombone ensembles perform in various formations, from quartets to large choirs of ten or more players. The sound combines sacred dignity with surprising agility; the repertoire ranges from antiphons of the early 17th-century Venetian school and chorale arrangements to Romantic chamber works and arrangements of jazz and film music. The specific works to be featured in the 2026 concert will be announced by the organiser in late summer.

Niederwörresbach Church is located in the village centre and offers seating for around 150 to 200 people. Tickets are exclusively available through advance booking; the Edelstein-Serenade has established itself in recent years as a well-kept secret on the Hunsrück concert calendar, meaning concerts often sell out early. Visitors to the concert should allow time afterwards for a short stroll through the village and a look at the surrounding Hunsrück mountain and meadow landscape.
