Bierbrunnenfest Lübbecke — East Westphalia's Summer Party Festival

In the heart of Lübbecke, where the Wiehengebirge mountains meet the Wiesenmoor fen of the Mindener Land, the Bierbrunnenfest takes place from August 14th to 16th, 2026 — one of East Westphalia's largest city festivals. Three days of live music, Schlager, 90s, and 2000s hits on three stages will turn the city center into an open-air disco under the motto "PartyRausch". The event is organized by Affen Events from Bückeburg, in close cooperation with the Privatbrauerei Barre brewery in Lübbecke and the city administration.

Three Stages, Three Atmospheres

The Bierbrunnenfest features a spatial differentiation:

• Main Stage at the Market Square — Headliner concerts and major performances
• Hopfengarten — A more relaxed outdoor area in the pedestrian zone
• Backstube Open Air — The DJ stage in the pedestrian zone

Friday, August 14th, 2026 — Mallorca Night with Isi Glück

Isi Glück, the queen of Malle, brings her Mallorca repertoire to Lübbecke. Also performing are Luca Heinken (DJ from the legendary Mallorca Bierkönig), Nancy Frank, and Micha Schue.

Saturday, August 15th, 2026 — 90s/2000s Throwback

The Captain Hollywood Project — the Eurodance classic with "More and More" and "Only with You" — along with Buffalo & Wallace, will bring the dancefloor hits of the 90s and 2000s to Lübbecke's market square.

Sunday, August 16th, 2026 — Keg Tapping and Sunday with Open Shops

Sunday morning, traditionally at 11 AM, the keg tapping ceremony with Gambrinus (the mythical beer king), Mayor Frank Haberbosch, and the Barre family. Musical accompaniment by the Dorfkapelle Oberbauerschaft and the Schützenmusikkorps Lübbecke. Afterwards, a Sunday with open shops in Lübbecke's city center.

Privatbrauerei Barre — The Local Beer Partner

Lübbecke's Privatbrauerei Barre brewery has been rooted in the city since 1842 and is the traditional beer supplier for the festival. Barre Pils and Barre specialties flow from the bars on stage — the "Bierbrunnen" (Beer Fountain) at the market square gives the festival its name and is its centerpiece. The brewery is also responsible for special beers for the Bierbrunnenfest.

Lübbecke — Gateway to the Wiehengebirge

The medium-sized city of Lübbecke, with its approximately 25,000 inhabitants, is located in the Minden-Lübbecke district, on the northern slope of the Wiehengebirge mountains and at the edge of the North German Plain. It is known for the Wittekindsburg castle, Wiehengebirge ridge hiking, the Bauerstraße with its classicist townhouses, and, of course, for the Privatbrauerei Barre brewery. The Bierbrunnenfest is the largest city festival of the year and attracts visitors from Minden, Bielefeld, Osnabrück, and the Lower Saxony region of Schaumburg.

Affen Events as Organizer

The organizer is Affen Events from Bückeburg, a specialized event organizer for large-scale events in East Westphalia and Lower Saxony. The team has developed the Bierbrunnenfest into a must-attend event for Schlager and party music in the region in recent years. The festival is supported by local sponsors such as Sparkasse Minden-Lübbecke, Stadtwerke Lübbecke, and Privatbrauerei Barre.
