Scharlibbe — One Village, One Festival

Scharlibbe is a district of the Klietz municipality in the Stendal district (AGS 15090), located in the wide, flat Elbe-Havel-Land between Tangermünde and Havelberg. A place with a few hundred inhabitants, a church, a village square—and a community life that focuses once a year on the village festival. The celebration is organized by the Scharlibber Freunde, an association that organizes cycling tours, bowling nights, and flea markets for the neighborhood throughout the year.

What's Happening During the Festival Weekend

The village festival is traditionally structured: a festival tent with a bar and stage, a dance floor, a tombola (raffle), a children's area with a bouncy castle, a barbecue stand, coffee, and homemade cake. Live music comes from regional bands from the Altmark and Elbe-Havel-Land—mostly cover songs, Schlager, and dance music. On Sunday, the festival traditionally concludes with a late Frühschoppen (morning pint/gathering).
