The Festival of the Municipality of Prohn
The Dorffest Prohn is the communal highlight of the year in the municipality of Prohn, which belongs to the Amt Altenpleen in the Vorpommern-Rügen district and is located about five kilometres north of the Hanseatic city of Stralsund. The celebration takes place on the Prohn riding grounds – a festival site in the village that becomes an open-air stage for the event.
70 Years of SV Prohner Wiek
In 2026, the Dorffest coincides with a special occasion: the 70th anniversary of SV Prohner Wiek e.V. Founded in 1952, the sports club shapes Prohn's club life with its various departments. For this reason, the 2026 Dorffest will be held under the motto »Dorffest Prohn meets 70 Years SV Prohner Wiek« – a joint celebration of the community and the sports club.
A Long Festival Day
The Dorffest lasts for many hours – from 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM. The programme includes music, entertainment, and a social festival programme; admission is free. The Dorffest is deliberately designed as an accessible event for all generations: families in the afternoon, dancing and partying in the evening.
Prohn and its Club Life
To the north, Prohn borders the Prohner Wiek, a bay of the Strelasund, which separates the municipality from the islands of Rügen and Hiddensee. The village thrives on active club life – the sports club, the fire brigade, the choir pro(hn) musica. The Dorffest brings this commitment together on one day and is part of a rich Prohn event calendar, which ranges from the Otto-Kühn-Fest and Advent singing to the Christmas market.

Dorffest 2026 — Anniversary Edition
The Dorffest Prohn 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, and runs from 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM on the Prohn riding grounds.
Special feature of the 2026 edition: The festival is combined with the 70th anniversary of SV Prohner Wiek e.V. and will be held under the motto »Dorffest Prohn meets 70 Years SV Prohner Wiek«. Celebrations will feature music, entertainment, and a social festival programme with free admission – a joint festival of the community and the sports club for all generations.
