Isseroda — Village in Weimarer Land

Isseroda is a district of the rural municipality of Grammetal, located in the Weimarer Land district, about 10 kilometers west of Weimar. The rural municipality of Grammetal was formed in 2018 from the merger of several smaller municipalities — Isseroda is one of the rural districts with a vibrant club structure. The village festival at the sports field «An der Bühne» is a traditional date in the annual calendar — the highlight of the summer club life.

A Day of Clubs

What makes the Dorffest Isseroda special is the close collaboration of all clubs on one day: The sports club presents athletic competitions and hands-on activities, the volunteer fire department shows exercises and vehicles, the heritage society presents local history and customs, the school community presents student projects. Regional musicians perform on stage, and in the evening, a live music and dance event invites guests. The club stands provide catering — bratwurst, steaks, draft beer, homemade cake, coffee.
