Three-day village festival by the "Brennersgrüner Waldfinken" singing club in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district
Brennersgrün is a small district of the town of Lehesten in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district — located in the Thuringian Slate Mountains on the border with Bavaria. The singing club "Brennersgrüner Waldfinken" is a co-organizer of the festival and shapes the character of the village festival with its musical contributions — folk songs, choral singing, traditional folk music. This combination of folk festival and club life is typical of the festival culture in rural Thuringia.
