Getting There

Brennersgrün is located about 7 km east of Lehesten, in the southern Saale-Orla region at the transition to the Franconian Forest. By car via the B85 or country roads from Lehesten/Saalfeld. By train to Saalfeld, then by bus or carpooling.

Brennersgrün in the Thuringian Slate Mountains

Brennersgrün is a small district of the town of Lehesten in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district — located in the Thuringian Slate Mountains on the border with Bavaria. Lehesten is famous for its slate tradition, and Brennersgrün is also part of this small-scale village landscape on the edge of the Franconian Forest.

Brennersgrüner Waldfinken — The Singing Club

The singing club "Brennersgrüner Waldfinken" is a co-organizer of the festival and shapes the character of the village festival with its musical contributions — folk songs, choral singing, traditional folk music.
