Brennersgrün in the Thuringian Slate Mountains
Brennersgrün is a small district of the town of Lehesten in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district — located in the Thuringian Slate Mountains on the border with Bavaria. Lehesten is famous for its slate tradition, and Brennersgrün is also part of this small-scale village landscape on the edge of the Franconian Forest.
Brennersgrüner Waldfinken — The Singing Club
The singing club "Brennersgrüner Waldfinken" is a co-organizer of the festival and shapes the character of the village festival with its musical contributions — folk songs, choral singing, traditional folk music. This combination of folk festival and club life is typical of the festival culture in rural Thuringia.

- Fri 26.6. — Festival tent opening in the evening, first live music, performance by the Brennersgrüner Waldfinken
- Sat 27.6. — Family afternoon, catering all day, evening dance party with live band or DJ in the festival tent
- Sun 28.6. — Morning pint (Frühshoppen) from 10 a.m. with musical accompaniment, lunch, cozy end in the afternoon

Getting There
Brennersgrün is located about 7 km east of Lehesten, in the southern Saale-Orla region at the transition to the Franconian Forest. By car via the B85 or country roads from Lehesten/Saalfeld. By train to Saalfeld, then by bus or carpooling.
