Two days of open-air music in the barn and courtyard at Hof Crone — Rock, Folk, Country, Americana in the Sauerland
The Dösselner Scheunenfestival is one of the most charming mini-festivals in the southern Märkischer Kreis. It is held at Hof Crone in the Dösseln district of Werdohl — a rural area with a barn, meadow, and farm atmosphere. In 2026, the festival runs for two days from June 27 to 28 with five live acts and the special touch that everything is organized through private initiative on the family-owned farm.
Saturday's main concert day features four live bands with a clear program spanning Rock, Pop, Americana, and acoustic cover music. Admission is from 5:00 PM, with the first performance starting at 6:00 PM. The stage order:
The bands are regional acts from the Sauerland and the neighboring Bergisches Land. The repertoire ranges from classics of rock history to more recent songs — perfect for a long summer evening on the farm.
Sunday begins at 10:00 AM in classic Sauerland style with a Frühschoppen (morning pint) — brass music, Weißwurst, pretzels. The Musikzug Versetal, a traditional brass band from the region, will perform a repertoire ranging from marches and waltzes to modern pieces. In the afternoon (approx. 2:00 PM–4:00 PM), an Open Stage will feature local emerging artists and club groups — an open format that offers a stage to everyone.
Those who wish can camp on the farm: €10 per tent, caravan, or motorhome. Getting to the venue is easily done with the shuttle bus from Werdohl station; late in the evening, the festival also organizes taxi service for the return journey — a service that is a welcome solution in this rural location.
Werdohl is a small town with around 17,500 inhabitants in the Märkischer Kreis (North Rhine-Westphalia), located in the Lenne valley in the southern Sauerland. Characterized by traditional mechanical engineering and wire industry, the town also has an active club and music scene. The Dösselner Scheunenfestival is one of the unusual examples of how a private initiative enriches the cultural life of a small Sauerland town.
The Dösselner Scheunenfestival 2026 spans two consecutive days at the end of June: a full concert Saturday and a traditional Sunday with Frühschoppen and Open Stage. The concept combines Sauerland folk culture with current live music from the region.
