Pub Crawl as a City Experience

The Doberaner Kneipennacht is one of Bad Doberan's most popular social events outside the summer high season. Once a year, the center of Bad Doberan transforms into a dense network of pubs, bars, and restaurants, where guests can move from venue to venue with a single admission. Music, shows, and special programs in the participating establishments make the tour a varied city experience.

Music in the Venues

Each participating restaurant designs its own evening: live bands, DJ sets, karaoke, comedy, or special themed specials. The mix of traditional Doberan inns and more modern bars brings generations together – the format is therefore just as attractive to locals as it is to guests from Rostock, Wismar, and the entire region.

Free Admission

Admission to all participating venues is free. The organizers are the participating landlords together with a private organization team that bundles communication and program branding (official Facebook presence: Bad Doberaner Kneipennacht).

Regional Context

Bad Doberan is located in the district of Rostock (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) – as the former ducal residence of the Mecklenburg dukes, seat of the famous Doberan Minster, and gateway to Germany's first seaside resort, Heiligendamm, the city has a rich gastronomic tradition. The Kneipennacht makes this diversity tangible once a year on a single evening.
