One run, one event, one city
In just a few years, the dm Company Run Saarbrücken has become the largest sporting event in Saarland. Several thousand participants from Saarland companies, authorities, and clubs transform a Tuesday evening in June into a colourful Volksfest (public festival) on the move. The start and finish are right by the Staatstheater, the course leads through the city centre and along the Saar riverbank – fast, flat asphalt, perfect for beginners and ambitious teams.
Who's running here?
Unlike traditional public runs, the company run isn't primarily about best times. Three people per team, matching colours, creative costumes, sometimes even choreographed performances – the company run is team-building in motion. From the board members to the apprentices, from the nursing home to the IT start-up: the whole of Saarland comes together at Tbilisser Platz.
The concept – three pillars
- Sport: 5 kilometres of flat, asphalted course, also suitable for wheelchair users. Refreshment station at kilometre 2.5.
- Team-building: Three people per team, matching outfits, special awards for the most creative costumes and largest company teams.
- Party: After the run, celebrations take place on the Saar meadows by the Staatstheater – live music, catering, award ceremonies until 10 p.m.
The course
The start takes place in three staggered time blocks (6:00 PM, 6:15 PM, and 6:30 PM) in front of Saarbrücken's Staatstheater. The course leads via Mainzer Straße towards Ostspange, a stretch through the city centre, and finally along the Saar riverbank back to Tbilisser Platz. With very few elevation changes, it's ideal for setting a personal best over the 5 kilometres – or simply for finishing with your team.
More than just a run
The company run also serves as an important networking platform for Saarland's economy. Over twenty regional companies support the event as sponsors, from dm and CosmosDirekt as title partners to Bitburger and Kaufland. Special fares from saarVV allow free travel with the Saarbahn – a detail that fits the sustainability concept.
Also virtual
Those who cannot be in Saarbrücken on race day can run virtually: from June 2nd to 7th, 2026, the course can be completed independently of location via the viRACE app. You still get the medal.
dm Company Run — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the dm Company Run takes place on Tuesday, June 2nd. Several thousand runners from Saarland companies are expected. Registrations are possible until May 13, 2026 (11:59 PM) at the regular rate; a late registration surcharge will apply afterwards.
In parallel to the on-site run, the CosmosDirekt Virtual Run will again take place from June 2nd to 7th, 2026, for everyone who cannot run in Saarbrücken – independent of location via the viRACE app.

- 2:00 PM — Start of bib collection at Tbilisser Platz
- 5:00 PM — Supporting programme with music on the Saar meadows
- 6:00 PM — Start Block 1 at Tbilisser Platz
- 6:15 PM — Start Block 2
- 6:30 PM — Start Block 3
- approx. 7:45 PM — Finish of the last participants
- 8:00 PM — Award ceremonies on stage (fastest teams, largest teams, most creative costumes, craft award)
- 10:00 PM — Official end of the event

Registration fee depends on the registration date. Early bird registration until May 13, 2026, is cheaper than late registration.

Registration
Online at firmenlauf-sb.de/anmeldung. Early bird registration until Wednesday, May 13, 2026, 11:59 PM. Late registrations are possible, but at a higher price.
Bib collection
Team captains can collect the race packs on Friday, May 29, 2026 (11 AM–4 PM) at CosmosDirekt (Halbergstraße 50–60) or on the event day from 2 PM onwards at Tbilisser Platz.
Getting there
By train to Saarbrücken Hauptbahnhof, then a five-minute walk to the Staatstheater. With your race bib, you can use the saarVV (Saarbahn and buses) free of charge on the event day.
Parking
Use underground car parks in the city centre (Bahnhof, Europagalerie). Very limited parking is available directly at the event venue.
Refreshments & After-Run
Water station at kilometre 2.5. In the finish area, there will be a stage programme, catering, and beer service until approx. 10 PM.
