55th Edition – Three Days of Volksfest with Rides, Flea Market, and Laser Fireworks
With its 55th edition in 2026, the Diepholz Spring Fair looks back on over 50 years of history. What began as a small Volksfest in the early 1970s has developed into one of the most important spring dates in the Diepholz district – a meeting point for families, young adults, and seniors alike.
The fair runs from Friday, April 17th to Sunday, April 19th, 2026. The opening hours are:
A total of around 30 hours of Volksfest atmosphere in Diepholz city center.
Carousels, Ferris wheel, roller coaster, bumper cars, swing boats, haunted house, shooting galleries, candy stalls, snack bars, and catering tents provide a classic Volksfest atmosphere. Families will find attractions for the little ones, while young adults can enjoy the spectacular adrenaline-pumping rides.
Alongside the Volksfest, a large flea market and the 'Spring Awakening' event with 31 exhibitors of arts and crafts, plants, spring flowers, and regional specialties are held. For shoppers and browsers, it's a great opportunity to get ready for spring and discover treasures at the same time.
The highlight of the Spring Fair is the laser fireworks on Saturday evening, April 18th, around 9 PM. Instead of traditional fireworks, Diepholz opts for a modern laser and light show that illuminates the night sky over the city center. A magical spectacle that attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year.
Admission to the fairgrounds is free. Rides and food are paid for on-site.
