Hamburg Pride Week 2026
From July 25 to August 2, 2026, Hamburg Pride Week runs — the highlight being the CSD Straßenfest from July 31 to August 2 and the CSD demonstration on Saturday, August 1.
Three Days of Festival
On several stages around Jungfernstieg, Ballindamm, and Rathausmarkt, live concerts, drag shows, DJ sets, political talks, and performances alternate. Over 100 booths from LGBTQIA+ initiatives, NGOs, and queer communities complement the program. The 2026 motto is "Solidarisch queer. Haltung zeigen – für eine Zukunft ohne Angst!" with the campaign "Community is our shield".
CSD Demonstration
The central CSD demonstration takes place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM. With around 100 groups, floats, and trucks, the procession leads from Lübecker Straße via Steinstraße and Mönckebergstraße to Lombardsbrücke.

Pride in the Heart of Hamburg
The Hamburg Pride Week culminates every year in the CSD demonstration and the CSD Straßenfest around the Binnenalster. The central location — Jungfernstieg, Ballindamm, Rathausmarkt — makes the street festival a maximally visible statement in Hamburg's urban center. The organizer is the association Hamburg Pride e.V., which has been organizing Hamburg's CSD for decades.
Three Days of Programming
Live concerts, drag performances, political talks, and DJ sets alternate on several stages. Over 100 booths from LGBTQIA+ initiatives, NGOs, associations, counseling centers, queer businesses, and communities line the promenade. The program is explicitly political and celebrates at the same time — a model that has shaped Hamburg Pride for years.
The 2026 Motto — "Solidarisch queer"
The motto for 2026 is "Solidarisch queer. Haltung zeigen – für eine Zukunft ohne Angst!" (Queer in Solidarity. Take a Stand – for a Future Without Fear!). With this, Hamburg Pride e.V. calls for more solidarity within the queer community and in society as a whole. The campaign — a hand-drawn, manga-inspired illustration with figures behind a shield — bears the subtitle "Community is our shield".
District and History
The festival area is located in the Hamburg-Mitte district on the Binnenalster boulevard — the city's representative space. Hamburg has been one of the German CSD strongholds since the early 1980s; the demonstration grew from small beginnings to over 250,000 participants today.
