Christopher Street Day in the City of Peace – Motto: Love. Freedom. Peace. For everyone.
For years, Christopher Street Day in Osnabrück has been a vibrant declaration for diversity, sexual self-determination, and equal participation. Embedded in the self-image of the City of Peace, it combines the message of peace with the commitment against discrimination of queer people. The organizer is CSD Osnabrück e.V., which independently organizes the event.
The 2026 motto summarizes the central messages of CSD: Love as a universal value, freedom as a prerequisite for equal life, peace as a societal goal – and explicitly for everyone, regardless of identity, origin, or life plan. In doing so, CSD responds to a major political climate in which queer rights are being questioned in many places again.
The day begins at 1 p.m. with a rally and speeches. The participation of Member of the German Bundestag Heidi Reichinnek has been confirmed, among others. Around 2 p.m., the parade starts, moving through the city center for about 90 minutes. The day is accompanied by a market festival at the town hall, which opens at noon and offers information booths, food, and a stage program.
In the evening, the Pride program continues in Osnabrück's club scene. Alando Palais invites you to the official CSD after-show party; Sonnendeck presents another Pride event with the Temptation series. Thus, the City of Peace offers a complete day and night program around CSD.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by CSD Osnabrück e.V. in the spring. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years: rally with speeches in the late morning/early afternoon, parade in the early afternoon, market festival with stage and information booths, after-show parties in the city's major clubs.
Route details, stage program, and after-show tickets will be available on csd-osnabrueck.de.
