Season finale of the Bavarian CSD season in the Three-Helmet City
CSD Landshut is the most important LGBTQ+ event in Lower Bavaria and traditionally marks the last CSD of the German Pride season of the year. On Saturday, September 26, 2026, hundreds to thousands of participants will march through the historic old town of Landshut, making a statement for equality, diversity, and visibility of queer lifestyles in Bavaria. The organizer is the association Queer in Niederbayern e.V., which promotes dialogue between the LGBTQ+ community and the Lower Bavarian society.
The procession starts at Postplatz and leads via Theaterstraße — one of the central axes of Landshut's old town with the Stadtresidenz and theater — to Ländtorplatz on the Isar river. There, the final rallies will take place with speeches by representatives from politics, the LGBTQ+ community, and churches. Musical contributions, information booths, and performances will accompany the event.
A special feature of CSD Landshut is the ecumenical queer open-air service — an initiative of the Protestant and Catholic deaneries of the Landshut region in cooperation with Queer in Niederbayern. The service focuses on the connection between Christian faith, hope, and queer identity, a rare constellation in Germany. This distinguishes the Landshut CSD from more urban CSDs through a strong connection to regional, ecclesiastical, and traditional Bavarian culture.
The Three-Helmet City of Landshut has around 75,000 inhabitants and is the district capital of Lower Bavaria, in the state of Bavaria. The city is known for the Landshut Wedding (every four years), the Stadtresidenz and Trausnitz Castle, as well as its well-preserved Gothic old town. Besides CSD Regensburg, the CSD is the most important Pride event in the Lower Bavarian Danube region and adds a contemporary, cosmopolitan touch to Landshut's image.
CSD Landshut 2026 will traditionally be celebrated as the last CSD of the Bavarian and German Pride season. The event begins in the morning with the assembly of float groups, associations, and individual participants at Postplatz. The parade proceeds from there via Theaterstraße — past the Stadtresidenz and theater — to Ländtorplatz on the Isar river, where the final rallies will be held.
A central component of the event is the ecumenical queer open-air service, organized by the Protestant and Catholic deaneries of the region together with Queer in Niederbayern. Accompanying the service will be speeches on LGBTQ+ rights, musical contributions, and performances. The entire program is free of charge and aimed at the community, allies, and the general city population.
Exact times and detailed program will be published in late summer 2026 via the website and social media of Queer in Niederbayern.
Free admission to all program items — parade, rally, queer service, and accompanying program. Donations to finance the event are welcome; registration for float groups, clubs, and associations via queer-niederbayern.de.

Free admission to the parade, rallies, queer service, and accompanying program. Registration for float groups and associations via queer-niederbayern.de. Donations to finance the CSD are welcome.
