About CSD Bremen

CSD Bremen is one of Germany's largest Pride events: in 2025, around 29,000 people marched through the city center. A demonstration through Bremen's center combines with a stage and street festival – political speeches meet artistic performances with a clear queer focus. The 2026 motto is 'Generations of Pride – happy, visible, strong'. CSD Bremen e.V. organizes the event.

Bremen Flies the Flag for Diversity

Christopher Street Day commemorates the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in New York City, the birthplace of the modern queer civil rights movement. In Bremen, CSD has long been one of Germany's largest Pride events: in 2025, around 29,000 people made a visible statement for diversity, acceptance, and equality, making Bremen one of the largest CSD locations nationwide.

The day has two facets: firstly, the demonstration marching through Bremen's center, standing for visibility, diversity, and solidarity. Secondly, a street festival with a stage program – political speeches and artistic performances with a clear queer focus. In 2026, there will be one stage in front of the Goethetheater and a second at the Wallkreuzung, focusing on joint commitment to an open, accepting society.

Generations of Pride

The 2026 motto 'Generations of Pride – happy, visible, strong' highlights the diversity of queer life experiences across all age groups. People of all generations are invited to make a strong statement together. Groups, associations, and individuals can participate as walking groups or with vehicles.

Urban Culture and Stance

CSD Bremen is more than a festival: it's an expression of the Hanseatic city's cosmopolitan, solidarity-driven attitude. Those who want to experience Bremen's committed, colorful side will find a major event in the city center in August that inextricably links demonstration and celebration.
