20 Years of Niederlausitz Club History in One Weekend

The Cottbuser Revival Treffen sees itself as a time travel through 20 years of Niederlausitz club culture — from 1987 to 2007, covering the late DDR disco era, the post-reunification years, the techno breakthroughs of the 1990s, the Gothic and EBM wave, up to the early 2000s. Three of the most defining venues for Cottbus's club scene — Gladhouse, Weltspiegel, and Marie 23 — will be simultaneously active for one night.

Gladhouse as the Centre

Gladhouse on Berliner Straße has been the city's most important live and dance club for decades. It forms the centre of the Revival Treffen: Here, from 8 PM onwards, Dance Classics, Techno, Trance, and House will play on the main floor, while the Slow Floor initially spins EBM, Electro, and Depeche Mode tracks — and shortly before midnight transitions into 'true classics' from Techno, Trance, House, Breakbeat, DnB, and Jungle.

Marie 23 as the Aperitif Location

Marie 23 opens as early as 6 PM and serves as an 'aperitif for community exchange' — with harmonious electronic sounds from House and 80s Retro. From 8 PM, the programme shifts to Ska, Punk, selected 80s Rock, and long versions; in the open-air garden, small talk sessions can take place. A final afterparty at Marie 23 concludes the meeting in the early morning.

Weltspiegel as the Third Location

The Weltspiegel cinema — also in the city centre — opens from 6 PM and fills its spaces with further styles from Niederlausitz club history. The cinema bar forms a quieter floor where conversations and encounters can unfold.

Target Audience 40 to 60+

The organisers explicitly address the 40–60+ generation: people who experienced their club youth in the late 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s in the Cottbus and Niederlausitz club scene — and who today desire a night that plays the music of those years at vinyl and CD quality. The meeting thrives on reunions, memories, and a dense, almost nostalgic atmosphere.

Three Locations, Six Floors, One Ticket

Logistically, the format is pulled off: A festival wristband allows free floor changes between Gladhouse, Weltspiegel, and Marie 23 + open-air garden — a total of six musical areas covering the spectrum from Techno to Soul, from EBM to Reggae.
