Four Weeks of Advent in the Hohenlohe Old Town

From Thursday, November 26th, to Sunday, December 20th, 2026, the Christmas Magic Schwäbisch Hall will take place in the historic old town of the Hohenlohe salt city. Four weeks of pre-Christmas festive atmosphere spread across several locations: the market square with St. Michael's Collegiate Church as the center, the Hospital Church with a craft market, old town alleys with additional stalls, and the gingerbread house as a hub for families.

What makes the Christmas Magic special is the combination of classic market activities and a cultural supporting program. Christmas theatre for children and adults, Advent exhibitions in galleries and museums, torchlight tours and night watchman tours through the old town — the city's culture of Schwäbisch Hall shines during Advent. Combined with candied almonds, mulled wine, Swabian specialties, and the regional Haller Lebkuchen, it creates one of the most atmospheric Christmas market experiences in Southern Germany.

Getting There

By train: Schwäbisch Hall station (Crailsheim–Stuttgart) and Schwäbisch Hall-Hessental station. From Schwäbisch Hall main station, it's a 10-minute walk to the market square. By car: A 6 exit Schwäbisch Hall, then follow signs for the city center. Parking available in city center parking garages (Spitalbach-Garage, Kocher-Quartier-Garage).
