Eight Hours of Music on Campus

The Campus Festival Magdeburg is a one-day open-air festival on the grounds of the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. The venue is the meadow in front of the canteen, Building 15, at Breitscheidstraße 2 in the Berliner Chaussee district — a green area regularly used for open-airs in the summer. The festival is organized by Landstreicher Konzerte / Landstreicher Kulturproduktionen GmbH, one of the established concert agencies in Magdeburg.

The program spans a range of genres, including Indie, Rap, Electro, and Pop. Headliners for 2026 are Kaffkiez (one of the most successful German indie bands of recent years), the Magdeburg sound system Tiefbasskommando, the renowned DJ and producer Eskei83, and the R&B singer Dani Lia. In addition, eleven other acts will perform, from regional newcomers to nationally recognized artists — a total of 14 artists over six hours of stage programming.

Magdeburg, University, Festival Summer

Magdeburg is the capital of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, with two universities (Otto von Guericke University and Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences). Student culture shapes the city's open-air program. In addition to the Campus Festival, the city hosts Fête de la Musique, Domplatz Open Air, the Magdeburg Cathedral Festival, and several smaller open-airs — a city in the festival summer.
