The Schützenverein für die Gemeinde Essen Oldb. e.V. is the main association of the marksmen's community in Essen (Oldenburg) — a municipality in the southern district of Cloppenburg, which is sometimes confused with the similarly named major city in NRW (hence the addition "Oldb." = Oldenburg).
