Family Day within the NDR Festival Weekend

The Büsumer Familientag is part of the NDR Festival weekend. While the day before (NDR Festival) features stars like JORIS with 'handmade music' on the main stage, the format changes on Sunday: on the same Watt-Tribüne right on the beach, a children's program takes place.

Three Main Performances for Children

• Zappeltiershow — interactive dance format where children participate in choreographed movements
• Lottis Welt — sing-along and sway-along music show, family pop
• HerrH KinderMitmachKonzert — the 'family soundtrack on two legs', with hits like 'Emma, die Ente' and 'Raffi, die Giraffe', with extra confetti included

Hands-on Activities from Regional Clubs

Parallel to the stage program, regional clubs set up their activity stands — drawing and craft corners, game stations, team games, small sports activities. Parents can relax and move between the Watt-Tribüne and the activity stands while the children make their own choices.

On the Beach with a View of the Wadden Sea

The Watt-Tribüne is Büsum's open concert stage right on the beach, overlooking the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea. Even if the weather doesn't cooperate, the grandstand offers a weather-protected concert area for families.

In the Dithmarschen District

Büsum is one of Germany's most important North Sea family resorts and is located in the Dithmarschen district. The Family Day is one of the highlights of Büsum's summer event calendar and is among the formats that actively shape the seaside resort's family image.
