Brigger Weinfest Brücken

The Brigger Weinfest is the big wine weekend of the Palatinate municipality of Brücken in the Kusel district. With the 16th edition in 2026, the format has established itself as a permanent fixture in the West Palatinate early summer calendar. The name Brigger is the dialect variant of the place name Brücken – an affectionate reference to the Palatinate language culture.

Last Weekend of May

The municipality of Brücken traditionally hosts the wine festival on the last weekend of May. In 2025, the 15th edition took place on May 30th and 31st. In 2026, the last weekend of May is May 29th and 30th – the expected date for the 16th edition. The municipality will confirm the exact date on the official website in the spring.

Festival Grounds Behind the Kreissparkasse

The venue is the festival grounds behind the Kreissparkasse in Brücken. Here, the host Bowling-Club Brücken e.V. sets up catering stands, tables, benches, and a stage over the days. The central location makes the festival easily accessible and creates a compact, convivial atmosphere.

Over 20 Wines from Three Countries

The special feature of the Brigger Weinfest is the international wine selection. Instead of limiting itself to the local Palatinate region, the festival offers over 20 selected wines from three wine countries: Germany with a focus on Palatinate, Mosel, and Rheinhessen; Italy with classics from Tuscany, Piedmont, Veneto, and Southern Italy; France with selections from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Languedoc, and Côtes du Rhône. This diversity makes the festival a tasting journey through European wine culture.

Catering by the Bowling Club

The catering is handled by the Bowling-Club Brücken e.V., which is traditionally responsible for hot meals, snacks, and drinks. The proceeds go to the club's activities – so visiting the wine festival also means supporting local club life.
