15 Years of Breakzone — Cologne's Biggest Drum & Bass Open Air

The Breakzone Festival celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2026. Since 2011, this event has been a fixed star in the German Drum & Bass scene, winning the German Drum & Bass Awards multiple times. On the weekend of August 15th and 16th, 2026, Cologne's Odonien cultural space — a "free state for art and culture" — will transform into a two-day fortress of electronic bass sound.

Odonien — Cologne's Industrial Art Space

Odonien at Hornstraße 85, in the Neuehrenfeld district, is a unique art space: rusted steel sculptures by artist Odo Rumpf, old industrial architecture, container buildings, and open-air areas blend into a post-industrial stage. It offers ideal conditions for electronic music events — sound systems boom between steel sculptures, the atmosphere is that of a ruin that has become a stage.

The festival operates on a "Day & Night" concept: Drum & Bass outdoors during the day, indoor areas with various genres in the evening.

Anniversary Vibe — What 15 Years of Breakzone Means

Since 2011, Breakzone has evolved from a local underground event into one of the top DnB festivals in the German-speaking world. Multiple awards at the German Drum & Bass Awards confirm its significance in the scene. For the 2026 anniversary, an expanded lineup will be presented — and the Day & Night concept ensures the festival runs almost continuously.

Tickets and Travel

Tickets available via Eventim and BZ-Ticket. Travel by KVB line 13 or 5 to Subbelrather Straße/Gürtel stop, then a 5-minute walk. If coming by car: parking is scarce in the area — public transport recommended.
