13th Braubacher Evening Parade with Carnival Floats and subsequent DJ Party in the Festival Tent by the Rhine Meadows
The Braubacher Abendumzug is a special feature of the Rhenish carnival scene. While the major carnival strongholds celebrate their parades during the day, Braubach continues to rely on the night-time format with its 13th edition in 2026: the procession starts at dusk, illuminated floats wind their way through the city center, the atmosphere is more intense, almost magical.
The organizer is the local carnival club with the distinctively Rhenish name "HÄSSTE MICH GEFROCHT e.V.". Behind the tongue-in-cheek club name lies serious volunteer work that keeps carnival traditions alive in Braubach.
The parade itself relies on classic elements: carnival floats with political, social, and local themes, walking groups from clubs and regulars' tables, guards, and brass bands. Spectators line the route, colorfully dressed, with bags for the candy, shouting "Helau".
After the parade, the festivities continue in a festival tent by the Rhine meadows. A DJ provides party music late into the night. The tent is a meeting point for participants and spectators, the place where the season is celebrated.
The Carnival Dates 2026: Weiberfastnacht Thursday, February 12th, Rosenmontag February 16th, Veilchendienstag February 17th. The exact date of the evening parade will be announced in advance.
The 13th edition continues the proven format of the night-time carnival parade. The evening parade is among the most atmospheric carnival events in the UNESCO World Heritage Middle Rhine Valley.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in advance. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years:
