The Hanstedt Christmas Market takes place annually on the 2nd Advent weekend at the Alten Geidenhof – a historic farm ensemble in the center of the heath village of Hanstedt. The Hanstedt Tourism and Business Association is the organizer, coordinating a atmospheric market weekend with local clubs, the church community, and Hanstedt businesses.
Saturday and Sunday in Advent
On Saturday, December 6th, the market opens at 1 p.m. and invites you to stroll, linger, and enjoy until the evening. On Sunday, December 7th, the market begins as early as 11 a.m. and offers a relaxed Advent afternoon for families. The decorated wooden huts, illuminated fir trees, and typical heath flair make the market unmistakable.
Local Artisans and Heath Products
The offerings are manageable but of high quality. Local craftspeople present handmade jewelry, ceramics, felt work, and wooden objects. Heath beekeepers bring honey, beeswax candles, and mead.
