Reserved seating – booking early is worthwhile, the show regularly sells out. Chic dress code welcome, but not mandatory. Afterwards, the Wintergarten often has a late-night bar program; queer bars in the Schöneberg area are also suitable for winding down.
Varieté Atmosphere on Potsdamer Straße
The Wintergarten Varieté at Potsdamer Straße 96 (Tempelhof-Schöneberg district) is one of Berlin's most historic stages. Here, where the lines between Schöneberg's cabaret tradition and the modern variety scene meet, the Boylesque Drag Festival sets up its tents once a year – currently in its 6th edition.
A Festival Full of Diversity
The focus is on a grand gala show with over 30 artists from around the world: Drag Kings and Queens, Nonbinary performers, Burlesque stars, Cabaret singers. Appearing in 2026 are, among others, Tinus (Denmark), Kitten DeVille (USA), Ms Mykie (USA), Bushwig Rollerboy (USA), FiFi DuBois (USA), Loose Willis (UK), Uta Valentine (France), and Matisse Royale (Italy). Sheila Wolf, founder and Master of Ceremony, will guide you through the evening.
Boylesque – the Male Sister of Burlesque
Boylesque is the practice of male and nonbinary performers reinterpreting the genre of Burlesque for themselves – usually with elaborate costumes, acrobatic elements, and a queer political dimension. Since its premiere in 2021, the Berlin festival has established itself as the most important European hub for the Boylesque scene. The show combines classic striptease numbers, queer drag choreographies, comedy, and high-level acrobatics.
During Pride Month
The festival deliberately schedules its date for the Pride Month in early July. This places it within Berlin's CSD (Christopher Street Day) season without being lost in the scale and crowds of the CSD demonstration. The intimate atmosphere of the Wintergarten hall (Reserved Seating for around 470 seats) makes the festival one of the hottest queer tickets in the capital. The organizer is Sheila Wolf in cooperation with the Wintergarten Varieté.
