Three Days of Village Festival in Bösingen

The Bösingen village festival has been the central event of the municipality in the Rottweil district for years. From June 19th to 21st, 2026, the town centre will be transformed into a festival ground with stages, catering stands, games, and music for three days. The festival is organised by the Vereinsring Bösingen e.V. — an association of around 20 local clubs from sports, culture, fire services, and social welfare.

Friday — Barrel Tapping at 6:30 PM

The festival kicks off on Friday, June 19th, 2026, at 6:30 PM with the traditional barrel tapping by the mayor of the municipality of Bösingen. This officially opens the festival. Afterwards, the marquee programme, catering by the local clubs, and the first musical performances will begin.

Saturday — Heimspiel Bösingen for Regional Musicians

The real highlight on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, is 'Heimspiel Bösingen' — a specially designed stage format for regional musicians and solo artists. Bands, singer-songwriters, duos, and solo artists from the Rottweil district and the wider region will each have around 20 minutes of stage time on a professionally equipped stage with sound and lighting technology. The format serves as a stage, showcase, and competition simultaneously — and gives visibility to the regional music scene.

Musicians who wish to participate in 'Heimspiel Bösingen' can contact [email protected]. All genres are welcome — from singer-songwriter to rock and pop, folk, and traditional music. The format is explicitly intended for newcomers and hobby musicians — a rare stage for artists who otherwise do not get major festival appearances.

Sunday — Festival Finale with Family Programme

The festival concludes on Sunday, June 21st, 2026: Morning pint with regional brass bands, lunch served by the clubs, family programme with games and childcare, festival finale with communal singing and a relaxed 'Hocketse' atmosphere. The local clubs will be serving Swabian specialities — Maultaschen, Bratwurst, Saitenwürstle, Schäufele.

Bösingen in the Rottweil District

The municipality of Bösingen, with its approximately 4,700 inhabitants, is located in the Rottweil district, at the transition between the Black Forest and the Swabian Jura. It is one of the smaller municipalities in the district but has an exceptionally active club life — around 20 clubs are united in the Vereinsring Bösingen e.V. The village festival is an expression of this strong club culture.
