30 km through the Hildesheim Börde
The Hildesheim Börde is an agriculturally characterized landscape with fertile loess soils. With its vast fields, avenues, and small villages, it offers ideal conditions for relaxed cycling. The Bördetour 2026 utilizes these qualities and connects four communities that cooperate in the EU regional funding program LEADER.
Family Format with Safety Escort
The tour is designed as a family event. It is ridden together at a moderate pace, so that children, grandparents, and occasional cyclists can keep up well. The route is manageable at about 30 kilometers; arrival is planned for around 2:30 PM.
LEADER and Regional Development
The Bördetour is more than just a bike tour: it makes the cooperation of the four LEADER communities visible, who are advancing rural development in the region through joint projects. Local actors, projects, and cultural highlights are presented at stops along the way.

Together on the Road
The Bördetour is designed as a guided tour. A joint welcome at the St. Laurentius Church opens the day, after which the group sets off. Along the way, there will be stops where projects of the LEADER region or cultural sights are presented.
Program Structure 2026
The detailed program for 2026 (stops, participants, refreshments along the way) will be published by the organizer in the spring. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years: welcome at the start, joint ride with escort, several stops along the way, joint arrival at the destination around noon or early afternoon.

- 10:00 AM: Start at the Evangelical Lutheran St. Laurentius Church Hohenhameln, welcome.
- Morning: Ride through Hohenhameln and Harsum with initial stops.
- Midday: Break, refreshments.
- Afternoon: Continue ride through Algermissen and Sehnde.
- Approx. 2:30 PM: Arrival at the destination, joint conclusion.
