Three Weeks for the Climate

The idea behind STADTRADELN is quite simple: for 21 days, participants collect cycling kilometers for their municipality and their team. Every kilometer covered for work, private purposes, or school counts – whether it's on the way to work, shopping, sports, or a weekend trip. The collected kilometers are included in the nationwide ranking and converted into saved CO₂.

Wolfenbüttel as a Climate Region

In 2026, the city of Wolfenbüttel, the district of Wolfenbüttel, and all member municipalities will participate together for the fourth time. This pooling of all municipal levels is exemplary nationwide and makes the region an active climate region. Participants register via the Stadtradeln app or the online platform, form teams – for example, from family, club, school, or company – and enter their kilometers.

Kick-off and Accompanying Events

The official kick-off on May 3, 2026, will be a joint event day with guided bike tours from several municipalities to the Asse-Wirtschaft in Wittmar. Throughout the three weeks, schools, clubs, administrations, and volunteer initiatives will organize accompanying actions, guided tours, and thematic hands-on activities. The closing event at the end will honor the most successful teams and provide impetus for the further development of cycling in the region.
