2nd Advent in Bockhorn

The Bockhorn Christmas Market is a cozy, family-friendly Advent event that deliberately distinguishes itself from the large city Christmas markets. Here, the village community is the focus, gathering on the central market square on an Advent weekend.

Opening with St. Nicholas and Mayor

On Saturday at 2 PM, St. Nicholas and the Mayor will jointly open the market. St. Nicholas will distribute small gifts to the children, the Mayor will welcome the guests, and the convivial part of the Advent weekend can begin.

Arts and Crafts and Gift Ideas

Artisans present their Advent products: wood carvings, ceramics, candles, jewelry, textiles, Christmas decorations. Many stalls offer unique gift ideas that you won't find in every department store.

Christmas Specialties

Mulled wine, eggnog, bratwurst, gingerbread, stollen, roasted almonds – the typical Christmas market specialties are served at the stalls. The selection is manageable but of high quality.

Live Music and Family Program

Live music – often choirs, brass bands, or small bands – creates the right Advent atmosphere. A family program and craft activities for the children complement the offerings.
