Volksfest in the Augsburg Region

For decades, the Bobinger Volksfest has been the summer highlight of the town of Bobingen in the Augsburg district. Around 25,000 visitors per year make it one of the largest Volksfests in the Swabian Wertach region. The town of Bobingen itself is the organizer, awarding stall pitches through the market office in the town hall.

Festival Tent, Amusement Rides, Family Program

The centerpiece is the festival tent with daily changing music – from brass bands and Bavarian Schlager programs to rock and party bands. Around it, amusement rides provide excitement for families and young people: carousels, bumper cars, thrill rides, and the obligatory food stalls offering sweet and savory treats.

Laurentiusmarkt and Vintage Car Meeting

The Bobinger Volksfest traditionally includes the Laurentiusmarkt with a Sunday opening for shopping in the town center – a highlight for families combining a stroll through town with a visit to the Volksfest. In addition, a vintage car meeting attracts car and motorcycle fans from the Augsburg region.

Town of Bobingen and Region

With around 17,000 inhabitants, Bobingen is one of the largest towns in the Augsburg district, located on the Wertach river between Augsburg and Schwabmünchen. Its proximity to Augsburg makes the Volksfest easily accessible for visitors from the city – just a fifteen-minute train ride away.
