Bingen Swingt is one of the most renowned jazz festivals in Rhineland-Palatinate. Since the late 1990s, it has brought international jazz, blues, and soul acts to the Rhein-Nahe-Eck in Bingen every June. With the 27th edition from June 12th to 14th, 2026, the festival bids farewell under the motto Bye Bye Bingen Swingt. It is the last edition in this form.
Festival Finale
For three days, the city center of Bingen transforms into an open-air jazz stage. The main stage is located at the Rhein-Nahe-Eck, the striking confluence of the Rhine and Nahe rivers. Several side stages in the city center ensure comprehensive programming; jazz becomes the talk of the town.
2026 Lineup
The 2026 festival finale lineup offers a cross-section of the international jazz and soul scene:
- Raphael Wressnig – the Austrian Hammond B3 virtuoso, multiple Downbeat Jazz Award winner
- B.B. & The Blues Shacks – one of the defining German blues bands of the last 30 years
- TOKUNBO – Nigerian-German singer-songwriter and soul voice (formerly Tok Tok Tok)
- Matti Klein Soul Trio feat. Joo Kraus – Berlin-based Hammond soul jazz with trumpet star Joo Kraus
- BAGGS BigBand – the renowned Rhenish-Hessian Big Band
- and many more.
UNESCO World Heritage Backdrop
Bingen am Rhein is located at the entrance to the Upper Middle Rhine Valley UNESCO World Heritage site. The festival utilizes this backdrop: concerts on the Rhine promenade, with views of the Mouse Tower in the river and the Niederwald mountain near Rüdesheim. Bingen Swingt is a festival where music and location achieve a rare symbiosis.

The 27th and final edition of Bingen Swingt takes place from June 12th to 14th, 2026, in the Bingen city center at Rhein-Nahe-Eck. The organizer is the City of Bingen am Rhein.
