One Night, 21 Bands, 18 Venues — Biberach an der Riß's city center as a live music platform
Since the late 1990s, the Biberach Music Night – MuNa for short – has been the unifying live music experience in the Upper Swabian metropolis of Biberach an der Riß. Organized by the Biberacher Musiknacht e.V., it transforms the city center into one large concert hall on a Friday in spring. With a wristband, you can move from venue to venue and discover bands within a radius of a few hundred meters.
The association's management consciously focuses on a broad range of styles. The program in previous years included:
The bands come from Biberach and Upper Swabia, from Stuttgart, Munich, Berlin – and regularly internationally, for example from the Czech Republic or as an Italo-Swiss formation.
Biberach (Biberach district, around 33,000 inhabitants) is located in the rolling hills of Upper Swabia between the Danube and Lake Constance. The city is known for its historic Schützenfest (marksmen's festival) and for an astonishingly dense live music scene. The Music Night bundles this scene once a year, turning the city center into a stage that activates the entire district in late winter and early spring.
The success formula of MuNa is simple: one admission ticket grants access to all 18 venues and 21 bands. You don't need to plan in advance; you can let the sound guide you – through the alleys of the city center, cafés, bars, and the foyer of the town hall. After midnight, the After-MuNa-Party takes place in Abdera, which is included in the ticket price.
The 29th edition of the Biberach Music Night kicks off on Friday, March 20, 2026, starting at 8 PM. As in previous years, 21 bands will perform in 18 venues in Biberach's city center – nearly five hours of non-stop live music.
The stylistic range is deliberately broad: Rock, Pop, Brass, Jump Blues, Gypsy Jazz, Funk, Ska, Folk, Hard Rock, Dixie, Oldies, Schlager, Rockabilly, and Indie are on the program. Bands come from Biberach and Upper Swabia, as well as from Stuttgart, Munich, Berlin, plus a Czech and an Italo-Swiss formation.
Locations and detailed band program (which band, when, and where) will be published shortly before the date on muna-bc.de. Around 2,300 guests are expected, as in 2025.
