The Olympic Course Becomes a Festival Ground

The Berlin-Grünau Regatta Course was built in 1880 as one of Germany's first regatta facilities and hosted the rowing and canoe events of the 1936 Summer Olympics. Today, it is one of Germany's most important training and competition courses for Olympic rowing and a unique Berlin natural monument: 2 kilometers of straight watercourse on the Langen See, nestled within the Berlin Forest.

Regattas and competitions by Berlin clubs alternate with boat ballet performances, live music on the lake stage, and a sports exhibition.
