70 winemakers, 350+ organic and natural wines to taste – Berlin's natural wine festival by organizers lichti & astroh in Friedrichshain
Berlin's wine scene has changed significantly over the last ten years. From a classic premium market, it has evolved into a diverse landscape where natural wine bars (Mineralogie, Otto Rink, Stillwein), restaurants with ambitious wine lists, and independent importers set the tone. The Berlin Summer Wine Festival is the central industry and public event for this scene.
The organizer duo lichti & astroh GbR exclusively curates winemakers who are certified organic and have a clear quality profile. Over 350 wines will be available for tasting on the festival day – white, red, sparkling, orange, and natural wines from Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Slovenia, and Spain. Berlin sommeliers assist with curation and the day's schedule.
The day is clearly divided: From 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, trade visitors (gastronomy, sommeliers, importers) have their own tasting hour. From 12:30 PM, the festival opens to the public: six hours of open stands where the winemakers themselves serve and talk about their wines. From 6:00 PM, an afterparty with a DJ set follows until midnight. Food trucks complement the culinary offerings.
The Napoleon Komplex / Haus der Visionäre is located on Modersohnstraße between Warschauer Straße and Boxhagener Platz, in the heart of one of Berlin's most gastronomically dense areas. Visitors often combine the festival with a walk along the Spree riverbank or dinner in the surrounding Friedrichshain restaurants.
The 2026 edition is the festival's fifth and the third at the Napoleon Komplex / Haus der Visionäre location on Modersohnstraße. Structurally, the day follows the proven scheme: one hour of pure trade visitor tasting, followed by five and a half hours of public tasting with the winemakers themselves serving at the stands, and then an open afterparty with summer sounds until midnight.
In terms of content, the focus is on organic and natural wine. White, red, sparkling, orange, and natural wines from Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Slovenia, and Spain will be served. The selection is curated in collaboration with Berlin sommeliers. Food trucks complement the offerings with bread, cheese, vegetarian snacks, and light summer dishes.
