Overview

In 2025, Berlin Food Week also ran for a week in October, featuring the House of Food at Bikini Berlin, a conference for gastronomy professionals, workshops for hobby cooks, and a city-wide restaurant week. Over 70 Berlin restaurants participated with special menus, with a focus again on sustainability and plant-based cuisine.

The 2025 edition stuck to the proven concept. The House of Food at Bikini Berlin was open for seven days, and the participating restaurants ranged from star establishments like Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer and Tim Raue to creative mid-range restaurants in Friedrichshain, Neukölln, and Mitte.

The conference in the middle of the week brought together gastronomy professionals from Berlin and across Germany — topics included: sustainability in restaurants, staff shortages, food waste, and digitalization of reservations and ordering. Workshops for hobby cooks, as always, sold out quickly, focusing on bread baking, fermentation, and cheese making.
