The Bayreuth Art Exhibition is the traditional, juried annual exhibition of the Kunstverein Bayreuth (Bayreuth Art Association). It showcases contemporary visual art by regional and supra-regional artists in the Schlossgalerie Bayreuth. In 2026, the exhibition will take place for the 76th time – a firm fixture in the cultural life of Upper Franconia.

The 76th Bayreuther Kunstausstellung will take place from July 19 to August 23, 2026, at the Schlossgalerie Bayreuth (La-Spezia-Platz 1). The exhibition features 139 juried works by 95 artists, spanning painting, sculpture, photography, installations, and digital art. The exhibition is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and admission is free.

The 76th Bayreuther Kunstausstellung will be on display from July 19 to August 23, 2026, at the Schlossgalerie Bayreuth (La-Spezia-Platz 1) – open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with free admission. A jury has selected 139 works from 95 artists, covering a diverse spectrum including painting, sculpture, photography, installations, and digital art forms.

The vernissage will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 11 a.m., featuring opening remarks, a keynote speech by Rüdiger Baumann (Theater „Das Baumann“), musical accompaniment by the Double Whisky Trio, and the presentation of the Sparkasse Bayreuth Art Prize.

As a special opening event, artist Michael Apitz will present his Wagner interpretations at the Schlossgalerie on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 11 a.m.
