Three days of regional building trade fair for building, living, renovating, and energy saving at the Messplatz
The Baumesse Pforzheim is one of the most important regional platforms for building and renovation in the Northern Black Forest. It is clearly aimed at the population of the city of Pforzheim and its surrounding areas — Enzkreis, Kraichgau, Schwarzwald-Vorland — meaning homeowners, builders, and renovators seeking personal contact with regional craft businesses and suppliers. Unlike supra-regional trade fairs such as BAU Munich, the Baumesse Pforzheim focuses on proximity: short travel distances, regional suppliers, concrete consultations.
The trade fair theme is classically divided into four areas: Building (shell construction, statics, roofs, facades), Living (interior finishing, bathrooms, kitchens, furniture), Renovation (restoration, modernization, mold removal, old buildings), and Energy Saving (photovoltaics, heat pumps, insulation, smart home technology). The latter area, in particular, has gained significant importance since 2024 due to the energy transition and the Building Energy Act — the Baumesse Pforzheim is responding with a significantly increased presence of PV and heat pump providers.
Free expert lectures will be held on all three days of the fair, presented by architects, energy consultants, tax advisors (keyword: renovation subsidies), and independent experts. Topics such as funding programs (KfW, BAFA), domestic ventilation, mandatory heating system replacement, or age-appropriate living will be addressed concretely and independently of manufacturers. For many visitors, these lectures alone are worth the trip — an independent guide for major investment decisions.
The Messplatz Pforzheim is located close to the city center, is barrier-free accessible, and offers free parking directly on-site. Children under 16 have free admission, making the fair suitable for a family outing. On-site culinary offerings, friendly information points, and a clear signage system make the visit uncomplicated. The premium partner of the event is SWP Stadtwerke Pforzheim, which will also be present with a large stand and consultation services.
The Baumesse Pforzheim 2026 opens its doors from September 25th to 27th, 2026, at the Messplatz in Habermehlstraße 27, located directly near Pforzheim's city center. Opening hours: daily 10:00 AM–6:00 PM. Admission is €5 per person, children under 16 have free entry.
The focus is on the four thematic areas of Building, Living, Renovation, and Energy Saving. The premium partner is SWP Stadtwerke Pforzheim GmbH & Co. KG.
