Summer club celebration at the old train station with oldtimer show
Mindelstetten, a market town with just over 1,700 inhabitants in the Eichstätt district of Bavaria, is primarily known as the birthplace of Blessed Anna Schäffer. But once a year, the focus shifts: the old train station becomes the scene of celebration, engines hum, and brass music echoes across the grounds — the Train Station Festival with Oldtimer Show.
Like many small stations on the former Eichstätt–Beilngries line, Mindelstetten station did not survive regular passenger service. Today, the building is used by the Vereinsbahnhofsmusikanten as their club station — a rehearsal space, meeting point, and event venue all in one. The Train Station Festival is the annual highlight: it opens up club life to the entire market community and guests from outside.
The typical schedule of such a club celebration in Upper Bavaria:
Anyone wanting to experience Upper Bavaria off the beaten tourist path will find an authentic club festival here: no event stage, no artificial folk festival atmosphere, but a community gathering at the train station on a Sunday afternoon. The site is nestled between the market town, fields, and hop gardens — making it a perfect stop for a bike tour or an excursion into the Altmühltal Nature Park.
The date is officially confirmed by the Mindelstetten municipality's event calendar: Sunday, June 21, 2026, starting at 1:00 PM at the Vereinsbahnhof. The detailed program (performance times of the bands, vehicle parade, children's activities) will be communicated in the weeks leading up to the festival on mindelstetten.de.
As in previous years, the Vereinsbahnhofsmusikanten will provide the musical entertainment; other Mindelstetten clubs are involved in catering and providing support.
Detailed daily program and list of exhibited vehicles will be announced via the municipality's event calendar.
