Free concert series in the Sole-Aktiv-Park Bad Schönborn — from May to September
The Open-Air-Sommer Bad Schönborn is a concert series spanning over five months, organized by the Bad Schönborn Tourist Information (Haus des Gastes). From May to September, the Sole-Aktiv-Park transforms into a stage every second or third weekend — featuring live bands, big bands, music clubs, choirs, fashion shows, and family programs.
The venue is the Sole-Aktiv-Park in Bad Schönborn — a well-maintained spa park with a water garden, lake, children's playground, and fitness area. During the open-air concerts, the festival meadow is equipped with a stage and lighting, attracting locals, spa guests, and day-trippers from the Kraichgau and Rhein-Neckar region. The atmosphere is family-friendly — many concerts start in the late afternoon and end before 10 PM.
The 2026 program is intentionally diverse: Classic club formats like the Musikverein Eintracht Mingolsheim or the Big Band of MuKS Östringen alternate with modern cover bands (Just For Fun, Happy Hour Band, ReBobHot), pop tributes (MOONDANCE), and singer-songwriter concerts. Additionally, there are special events like the Activity Day with Joey Kelly (from Kelly Family / The Voice of Germany), the Fashion Show in May, or the Family Duck Cup festival with a duck race in the water garden.
Bad Schönborn (Karlsruhe district, AGS 08215, approx. 13,000 inhabitants) is located in the southern Kraichgau region, between Heidelberg and Bruchsal. The municipality consists of the districts of Mingolsheim and Langenbrücken — both traditional brine spas. With the Sole-Aktiv-Park and several clinics, Bad Schönborn is a classic spa town whose event program specifically targets spa guests AND the regional population.
From May to September 2026, the Sole-Aktiv-Park Bad Schönborn becomes a weekly open-air stage. Throughout the season, the concert series brings a dense, diverse program to the spa park of the Kraichgau spa town. The concerts are almost all free, the atmosphere is family-friendly — locals, spa guests, and families from the region meet on the festival meadow on concert evenings.
